Memphis The Musical is coming to Jacksonville! Dancing, music, singing, romance … I get excited just thinking about it! And you should get excited too, because I have a pair of tickets to see the show on opening night to give away.

memphisThis hot new Broadway musical comes from the underground dance clubs of 1950s Memphis, Tennessee and bursts off the stage with explosive dancing, irresistible songs, and a thrilling tale of fame and forbidden love. Inspired by actual events, Memphis The Musical is about a white radio DJ who wants to change the world and a black club singer who is ready for her big break.

Winner of four 2010 Tony® Awards including Best Musical, Memphis The Musical features a Tony®-winning original score with music by Bon Jovi founding member David Bryan and choreography by Sergio Trujillo (Jersey Boys, Flashdance – The Musical). AP calls Memphis The Musical “The very essence of what a Broadway musical should be.”
