Wedding Bells: Our Engagement Party

Wedding Bells: Our Engagement Party

Screen shot 2014-03-23 at 6.58.43 PMSo I’m a little late on this post, but better late than never, right? On February 8th, my fabulous parents threw Jimmy and I the most perfect engagement party ever, and I just couldn’t let myself get away without recapping it in a post.

The party was held at Dub’s Pub on River Street in downtown Savannah – an awesome spot for any event. They rented out the back room, which was perfect for our 20-or-so guests. The restaurant is a fairly new pub/sports bar with a modern spin on a historic building. We loved it!

We had a buffet of delicious finger foods: chicken fingers, cilantro humus, and jalapeno beer cheese dip with pretzel bites (yum!) and our own private bar.

My adorable mom and had many decorations scattered throughout the room, pictures of the two of us on the tables, and lots of fun party favors that she and my sister made for the guests. How precious!?

And Jimmy’s parents came in town from Chicago!

My bestie Whitney’s mom made us this beautiful cake (how talented is she? It tasted AMAZING, too!) …

My wonderful daddy made a very sweet (and slightly embarrassing) speech …

It was the most perfect way to celebrate our engagement, and we were so happy to share it with the friends and family we love so much. Thank you, Mom …

And thank you to our friends and family for celebrating with us – we love you all so much and are so excited to have you by our sides during this journey of becoming Mr. and Mrs.!
