Sipping and Shopping is Now a Thing at Winn-Dixie

This post is in partnership with Winn-Dixie. All photos and opinions are my own.

I’ll tell you what … Winn-Dixie sure does know how to throw a party! Who knew you could have so much fun at a grocery store?!

If you missed it, last night was the grand opening of the new WD’s Taproom inside of Winn-Dixie (Baymeadows Rd. location) and it was poppin’! If you did miss out on the fun, you’re in luck because the tap room is here to stay. Which means cold brews and vino while you knock out your grocery shopping any day of the week!

Affordable craft beers, not one but two cup holders on the buggy, an easy-to-navigate store, and a friendly staff is what you can expect at this Winn-Dixie location. If you hate grocery shopping (like many), this will certainly make the chore much more exciting. If you like grocery shopping (like me!), this only makes it better. If you like grocery shopping but have a toddler which makes it incredibly stressful (also like me), this makes it muuuuccchhh more tolerable (and they have “baby buggies,” as Daisy calls, them for the kiddos which majorly helps, too).

Winn-Dixie opened their first taproom earlier this year at the Atlantic Beach, FL location, and the Baymeadows Rd. store marks the second in the Jacksonville area. In addition to a coffee bar, you can now find eight brews on tap, ranging from everyday favorites to local crafts, each for only $3.50 per 16 oz. pint. If beer doesn’t tickle your fancy, they also offer five fine wine varieties (red and white), starting at $3 per 5 oz. glass. Coffee (including espresso, frappes and other iced coffee varieties) and fountain drinks start at $1.20. You can even take a growler of your favorite beer home!

If you want to sit and relax before or after shopping, during your lunch break or while your other half finishes the shopping, chill out at one of their tables, watch your favorite sports on the flat-screen TVs, and enjoy one of the Combo Meals (including a pint and choice of subs, wings, pizza or ribs) starting at $5. And y’all, I just have to say – their wings are BOMB! I make a trip there just to hit up the wing bar.

We were able to enjoy the event, sip on a few cold beers, and knock out our hurricane prep shopping all while listening to live music and having a good time. Talk about a fun shopping experience! Daisy even enjoyed it.

So next time you’re in the area or need to pick up some groceries, head to Winn-Dixie, grab a beer and get to shopping!
