The All-New Keurig Vue

Let’s get one thing straight right off the bat: I LOVE coffee. It’s not that I have to have my morning coffee (though it does help!) … there’s just so many wonderful things about it. The smell. The taste. The variety of flavors. The fun coffee shops. The “event” of it. You get the picture. Of course, it never tastes as good at home as it does when you go to your favorite coffee shop for a freshly-brewed, perfectly balanced cup of coffee. And, for me, it’s super annoying having to wait for an entire pot of coffee to brew when I just want one cup. So when I was selected to host a Keurig Vue House Party you better believe I was stoked. Coffee, a reason to host a party, and an excuse to buy a Keurig which has been on my “shopping list” for two years? I’m in.

When I received the email saying I was selected to host, I knew I would be receiving the following for my party:

  • 1 Keurig Vue branded apron
  • 6 boxes of Keurig® Vue® Packs
  • 2 Brew Over Ice Tumblers
  • 13 Keurig® Vue® napkins, cups and lids
  • Keurig® offer for 50% off Keurig® brewers at
  • Keurig® Vue® brochures
  • Keurig® napkins
  • Cookies to accompany beverages
  • 13 After Coffee Signature Peppermint packs

But what I didn’t know is the bonus that came along with the party pack: my very own Keurig Vue!! Oh yes … I was one happy girl. And when I got home from work yesterday, my early Christmas gift was waiting patiently by my front door.

Sorry, dog. I know you have to pee and all, but I have GOT to open this box before doing anything else! (I know, my poor Lexie!) I grabbed the scissors and got down to business. I was so excited, and Jimmy was like a kid on Christmas morning.

I use a Keurig every day at work, but this Vue is one fancy brew system. You can brew eight sizes – from a 4oz. cup to an 18oz. travel mug, select the strength and temperature of your coffee, select whether you want to brew regular hot coffee, iced coffee, iced tea, hot cocoa or – get this – cafe beverages. Yes, it froths! All selected on the colorful, easy-to-use touchscreen.

So while we impatiently waited for the system to heat … (you only have to do then when you plug it in, not every time you turn it on) …

We sorted through the variety Vue-Pack to decide which flavor we wanted to enjoy for our first cup of coffee from our new brewer.
So many delicious choices!

I selected the Gloria Jean’s Hazelnut and Jimmy opted for the Green Mountain Coffee Breakfast Blend. We popped those bad boys in, selected our brew options, pressed the “Brew” button, and in less than a minute, our coffee was ready and it was time to enjoy our delicious happiness-in-a-mug.

So if you’re in the market for a single-cup coffee maker, I would highly recommend the Keurig Vue. It looks great on the counter and makes a variety of gourmet-style selections. My only complaint at this time is that you have to use the Vue K-cups instead of the regular K-cups (which means no Dunkin Donuts Pumpkin Coffee.) However, I’m sure there are ways to make them work … which I am working on.

Now I am even more pumped about hosting my Keurig View party in a few weeks! If you’re going to be in Jacksonville on Sunday, Sept. 23, love brunch, mimosas, COFFEE and football, let me know and I’ll email you an invite. The more, the merrier! If you’re coming to the party, tweet about it by mentioning me (@Blakeley) and using #VueParty!
