An excuse to drink wine and have a girls’ night? House Party knows me all too well. A few weeks ago I was selected to host a “[yellow tail] Moscato Girls’ Night In” House Party, and I must say, it was fabulous. Everything about it: The wine, the food, the company, all of it. And Moscato? My latest obsession.
House Party hooked me up with a $25 AmEx gift card to go toward the purchase of the wine, along with some fun party favors, which included wine stops, lip gloss, cups and napkins.
I lucked out on the wine. Winn-Dixie had [yellow tail] on sale for $5.24/bottle, so I racked up.
And as any wine drinker knows, you can’t have a wine party without cheese. Lots of it.
My girls arrived, and it was time to get down to business: Toast to the evening, drink wine, snack on cheese (and cream cheese pumpkin bread), and gossip.
We started with the white Moscato, which was most of our favorite. [yellow tails]‘s Moscato is the perfect amount of sweet and bubbly, so if you like Moscato or sweet wines, I encourage you to give it a shot. It tastes like an expensive wine for only a fraction of the cost – score! My second favorite is their Sweet Red Roo, which is a sweet red wine that’s good chilled or at room temperature. I also served their Merlot, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc. I honestly haven’t tried one of their wines that I didn’t enjoy.
I figured we’d need a little more in our tummies than just cheese and crackers with all that vino, so I also prepared a full dinner for my guests: Jalapeno humus chicken, sweet and spicy steamed carrots, cauliflower “mashed potatoes,” and popover rolls.
I was even nice and invited my boyfriend and a few of his friends to join for dinner.
Aren’t they cute? 🙂
A huge thank you to [yellow tail] and House Party for allowing me to host this party, and thanks to my girls Sarah, Sarah, Ashley and Morgan for making it out on a Thursday evening!
Y’all sure did make me one happy hostess.
A night this wonderful called for a celebratory champagne toast at a nearby bar. Cheers!
