Dress Up Your Phone with Personalized Cases and Skins (Review and Freebie!)

free skinIf you know me at all (or at least follow me on any social media outlet), you know how much I love pictures. So when I got the opportunity to receive a free personalized skin for my iPhone in exchange for a review, you better believe I jumped on that right away. Not sure if the folks at Wrappz.com knew was a picture freak or not, but they sure did reach out to the right person. I’ll take any opportunity to show off pictures of some of my favorite people. (P.s. Wrappz.com is Europe’s largest producer of personalized cases and custom skins for mobile devices and electronics, including phones, iPads, iPods, laptops, game consoles and more. And they’re fabulous.) So keep reading … I have a free skin offer for you!

I’ve had custom photo cases in the past, but I’ve never tried a custom skin for my phone (nor did I know they existed.) I was able to choose between a skin for my iPhone 5 or my iPad Mini, and I opted for the phone skin, since more people see it on a daily basis :). And I must say, I’m a fan!

Creating and ordering the skin was very simple. Their website walks you through the entire ordering process, and takes only a few minutes to do. You can upload any pictures you want for your skin, size and design as you choose, and preview it before ordering. If you don’t want to use your own image(s), you can select from any of their stock images. You can also change the background color and add text if you want. I haven’t tried the actual case yet, but I assume it’s very similar.

My skin came packaged nicely in a box, and looked like a phone-sized sticker with the skin I created. It even comes with skin to protect the front part of your phone, which you may or may not choose to use. (P.s. Looking back I wish I’d changed the color from white to pink – so it would look like I have a pink phone! Oh well, now I know for next time.) Keep in mind that the company is located in the UK, so it takes a couple of weeks to receive your skin – but I promise it’s worth the wait!

I peeled off the back skin before I remembered to take a picture. Oops!

The skin peeled off easily, and stuck to the back of my phone without a problem. I love how it turned out!

Don’t you just love it? I do.

But no need to be jealous of mine … you can create your own skin for FREE! The amazing folks at Wrappz.com have offered a free skin to my readers – how nice are they?! To order your free skin, just go to their website, select your phone, create your skin, and use code FREESKIN at checkout. You will just need to pay for shipping. To make it even better, I have two $5 gift certificates to give away! Just comment below letting me know what you most want to create for your device (ex. a skin for your iPhone, a leather case for you iPad, etc.). I’ll pick two winners at random on 1/31/14.
Ordering note: It’s a little tricky since everything is in Euros on their site, but they accept American dollars (credit/debit card) as payment and it will convert at checkout. If you want to do a quick price conversion before ordering, this tool is helpful.

Now excuse me while I go create a custom skin for my iPad … 🙂
