We recently took an unplanned, emergency trip to Atlanta when Hurricane Matthew came to town and made us evacuate, which ended up being a nice little weekend getaway. Jimmy’s buddy and his wife were kind enough to let us stay with them, so after a hectic 24 hours of packing, planning, and driving six hours north, we were able to enjoy some cool weather and sight-seeing with friends we don’t get to see often enough. We spent the weekend exploring the city, and I, of course, was obsessed with all of the fun street art all over the place. You can see more photos of the Living Walls on my previous post here if you’d like. The star of this post, after all, is the amazing flowy floral dress I’ve fallen head over heels for. (Though I did have to include some of Jimmy doing his best “Instagram poses” – he was cracking me up!)

Friends, meet my new love: this dress. It’s the perfect flowy maxi for any occasion, and it has the most beautiful colors. Plus it is so comfortable, and I receive a ton many compliments every time I wear it. AND you can’t beat the price  – it’s under $25!!! Crazy, right?! (FYI I got it in a XL because often times clothes from shops like this run small and I wanted it to be comfy and fit my growing baby bump. However, I wish I had gotten a large instead because it is a little loose and I’m sure won’t fit anymore post-baby, but it works for now. I may just have to go ahead and get it in a smaller size while it’s in stock so I can have both!) So just a heads-up, it runs true to size or maybe even a bit large. It’s pretty stretchy in the top and waist, and the bottom is flowy and has a slit up the front. It also buttons completely down the front (so be sure to button them all!), and you’ll likely want to wear a slip or something underneath, just for modesty’s sake. I wear this slip dress under it, along with pretty much every other dress because it hides lines and serves as a little extra layer.

So for all of you who have asked about the dress, here you go! Let me know if you end up trying it for yourself – I’d love to see how it looks on you. I think it’s one of those dresses that looks amazing on everyone. ‘Til next time, loves. Have a fantastic week!

XO,
Blakeley
