Last weekend four of my amazing friends threw me the most beautiful baby shower ever, and I am still on cloud nine thinking about it. First of all, the thought of me having a baby shower is still surreal. My pregnancy is flying by, and our little Daisy girl will be here in less than three months! I feel like we just found out we were expecting … just announced it to friends and family … and just had our gender reveal. Hard to believe we are now celebrating this little bundle of joy with her very own party, and working hard to get everything ready for her arrival. When the girls said they wanted to throw a shower for me here in Jacksonville, they asked if I has any special requests. My answers were simple: I wanted to have it before I got too huge, before the busy holiday schedules kicked in, and I wanted everyone to wear white. I thought it would be so pretty. Other than that, I said I’d be hands-off and let them handle the rest (which was extremely hard for this OCD party planner!). They planned for what seemed like months, and then I got the invitation in the mail for my November 19th Winter Wonderland dinner party-style baby shower. I knew it was going to be perfect.
When I walked in to my friend Stephanie’s house, I was completely breathless. The decor was absolutely beautiful, the tables were set for a princess, the hot cocoa bar rocked my socks, the desserts were too pretty to eat (though that didn’t stop us), the food was delicious, and everyone looked absolutely beautiful. We spent the evening enjoying a girls night out, devouring a yummy home-cooked meal, snapping pictures in front of the photo booth, and showering baby Daisy with the sweetest gifts ever. Thank you so much to all of the ladies who made it out to celebrate with me (and to those who couldn’t but were still so thoughtful and sent gifts!), and thank you Stephanie, Sasha, Amanda and Meghan for throwing the most beautiful and incredible shower a mom-to-be could ever dream of. I am so thankful to have you all in my life, and can’t wait for Daisy to get to know each of you. She doesn’t know how lucky she is!
