My my, how my wardrobe has changed. I went from cute tanks and dresses to maternity clothes to loose-fitting tees and yoga pants all within a nine-month time span. And let me tell you something no one told me: dressing yourself after having a baby isn’t fun. Your body doesn’t look or feel quite like it did before, and clothes don’t fit the same. The girls are extra large, leaving bra and top options a bit more slim, and I don’t know about you, but I’m not trying to leave the house in skin-tight clothes any time soon. You just went through all kinds of magical stuff to bring your baby into the world, which is awesome, but it doesn’t exactly leave you feeling super sexy about your new bod. For me, at least. “New” body or not, I don’t want to have to sacrifice style and self-confidence just because I’m a mom who is breastfeeding and still has some baby weight to shed. So I’m on a mission to find cute, comfortable, stylish and affordable outfits that any woman can wear – mom or not – and feel pretty!
This pastel tie dye maxi wrap dress is absolutely perfect for a nursing mom or just the gal who wants a chic and effortless look. It’s great for a day at the office, happy hour with the girls, or a date with your beau, and easy to dress up or down. It’s comfortable, flowy, hugs in the right places (and doesn’t in the wrong places), and the pattern and colors are perfect for Spring and Summer. I wore a bandeau bra underneath so I wasn’t showing my goods off to the world, but if you don’t have crazy mom boobs you can totally skip that part.
I started off in these super cute chunky nude suede heels, but let’s be honest … I popped those bad boys off and slid on flip flops as soon as we finished dinner. Who wants to walk around at the beach in heels, anyway? These heels though: super cute and actually pretty comfortable. Perfect Spring heels! I accessorized with a long gold necklace, a single bangle, a few dainty rings, gold mirrored aviators, and stud earrings.
I hope this helps inspire some new moms out there, or just you ladies looking for a good maxi! I will be sharing more affordable outfit inspiration each week, so be sure to subscribe to my blog so you don’t miss out!
