Baby Wearing

Where all my baby-wearing mamas at?? And why haven’t I been doing this more often? Oh I know, because Daisy is my first baby and she’s always in mine or my hubby’s arms. Or because, let’s be honest, I really need her stroller so I can throw my heavy ass diaper bag underneath. But holy cow – this is SO easy, so convenient, and so dang cute! I was recently sent this LÍLLÉbaby carrier to try and I can honestly say that I wish I’d had it for these past nine months. I do have several other carriers, but none of them are quite like this. So if you’re looking for a baby carrier and trying to decide which to get or are considering the LÍLLÉbaby, keep reading. [Click here for $10 off.]
Like I said, I do have other carriers: a sling, a wrap and a carrier. They all serve their purpose, and I have gotten use out of all of them. The wrap and sling are super easy to throw in the diaper bag and travel with, and they’re great for newborns. But now that Daisy is bigger and heavier we’re in need of something more durable. I’ll be honest – when I first took the LÍLLÉ carrier out of the box and tried to use it I was a little overwhelmed. It seemed pretty intimidating. But once Jimmy helped me get it on properly it was super simple, and now I can do it on my own in a breeze.

I opted for the Complete All Seasons carrier because of the “temperature-control panel that easily zips-up for warmth and zips-down to expose cool, breathable, 3D mesh” which is definitely needed here in Florida. Also because you can wear it six ways (front-fetal, front-infant, front-outward, front-toddler, hip, and back carry), and it grows with baby allowing you to wear them from 7 to 45 lbs. The padded straps and the lumbar support make it super comfortable, and baby actually feels very secure. It also has a removable hood that can provide shade from the sun, adds support while baby is sleeping, and allows for discrete nursing while in the carrier. (For reference, Daisy is 18.5 lbs. and 9.5 months old in these photos.)
Because I’m not an avid baby-wearer, Daisy wasn’t sure what to think at first. But after a few minutes she warmed up to the idea of sitting in a foreign contraption while strapped to my chest and I think she actually liked it! She kept hugging onto me and playing with my face. We even had a little dance party while we walked around the mall (which I’m sure made us look super awesome). I have a feeling my carrier is going to be my best friend come holiday shopping and trips to the zoo! Have I mentioned how nice it is to have your hands free? And to not have to keep adjusting your grip on a growing baby? This girl is getting heavy!
