Jimmy and I recently attended our first gala-style event and had the most wonderful time! It was the perfect excuse to get all gussied up for a parents’ night out on the town. I was stressing to find what to wear, but PinkBlush quickly came to the rescue with the absolute perfect dress! This dress that I selected comes in a few different colors, but I just love this wine color and thought it would be so beautiful for the upcoming holidays. (Brides, it would make a gorgeous bridesmaid dress, too!)

ABOUT THE OUTFIT:
I knew I wanted to wear a long, flowy dress. That’s about it. I picked out five of my favorites from PinkBlush and did a poll on my Instagram stories, asking my Insta fam to help me select my dress for the event. It was a tough call between this dress and the one I wore, but the burgundy dress won by just a few votes and it had my vote as well. Thank y’all for helping me out! It was a little more boobilicious than I’m used to these days, so I wore this lace bralette underneath for a little more coverage. (If you don’t have giant mom boobs you probably don’t have to worry about that!) The fit was perfect – hugged in all the right places and not in the wrong ones – and I love the flirty bell sleeves for a little more romance. I just wanted to twirl and spin all night! I paired it with nude patent leather Marc Fisher pumps from An Unlikely Pear, these gorgeous Lisi Lerch pearl and gold statement earrings, and a dark red lip. (FYI the heels on currently on sale and An Unlikely Pear is based in Jax – support my local boss babe!) Shoutout to my handsome hubby and how dapper he looked in his navy suit! What a stud.
The color and style of this dress is going to be SO perfect for the upcoming holiday parties and festivities, too. I can’t wait to style it with gold heels and a champagne scarf! (Expecting mamas, this dress is also maternity-friendly! I love versatile fashion.) You can find more beautiful and affordable evening and occasion dresses here.

ABOUT THE EVENT:
The event, Promenade at the Alcazar, was held at The Lightner Museum in downtown St. Augustine, celebrating the 70th anniversary of the museum and the 130th anniversary of the old Alcazar Hotel (which is what the building was before it was the museum). It was our first time at the museum (which I still can’t believe!) and we were able to experience all four floors during the private event. Museum specialists were floating around to answer any questions, we participated in a few fun trivia games, took a private tour of the storage facilities and learned about exhibits coming soon, enjoyed food and wine pairings, and listened to beautiful live orchestra music while enjoying wonderful company. If you haven’t been to the Lightner Museum I highly suggest adding it to your to-do list. It’s GORGEOUS!

Thank you PinkBlush for sponsoring this post and providing me with the perfect dress for our event.
