HAPPY SPRING!! Hard to believe it’s already that time – I feel like this year is just flying by. This is my favorite time of year though: the weather, the flowers, the trees and grass, beach and boat days, windows down … perfection. Along with all of that, we get a lot more outside play time with Daisy! So today I want to share with you a few new items I received that will help make the season even more fun for everyone at home, all endorsed by Daisy herself. Many would make for great Easter basket additions, too! Hope you enjoy, and discover something new.

GLOVE-A-BUBBLES FROM ZURU
Glove-A-Bubbles have been a hit around our house for quite a while now, and they’re always just as exciting as the time before. I like to keep some on hand for warm days when the neighbor kids come over, and they’re great at the beach on a windy day, too! If you’ve never played with them before, the glove (which it comes packaged in) has holes that make bubbles when the glove is dipped in bubble soap and waved through the air. I love that they encourage running around and just being a kid, without having to come back and dip the wand every five seconds like traditional bubbles. Each Glove-A-Bubbles packet contains a resealable bag filled with bubble solution and on-trend characters. They’re available in 100% recyclable packaging through ZURU’s partnership with TerraCycle, and cost under $2 on average. (They’d be so perfect in an Easter basket, too!)

RAINBOCORNS SPARKLE HEART SURPRISE FROM ZURU

Wanna see your kid’s eyes light up? Get them a Rainbocorns Heart Surprise! Seriously – the joy they get from opening a toy to find surprise after surprise is just so much fun to watch. Every Rainbocorn plush hatches from its bright mystery egg and has a unique heart that reveals a magical surprise. You never know which one you’re going to get, and it’s fun to collect them all. They are truly the ultimate unboxing experience, and an even better alternative to Easter Candy. So many surprises at an affordable price of $9.99!

A CHILD’S INTRODUCTION TO THE ENVIRONMENT BOOK FROM BLACK DOG & LEVENTHAL

Bring on the books! I was a book lover from early childhood, and thankfully so is Daisy. They’re such an important tool in education, imagination, creativity, reading and writing … seriously one of the best gifts you can get a child, in my opinion. This book, A Child’s Introduction to the Environment Book from Black Dog & Leventhal, is certainly more of an educational book, but is so much fun for them to look at and read. It tackles an important and urgent topic, is perfect for curious kids who want to protect the planet, and is part of the best-selling and award-winning Child’s Introduction Series. Inside, they’ll find actionable tips and inspiring profiles on kid activists like Greta Thunberg, Varshini Prakash, and Autumn Peltier, plus illustrations that encourage questions and interest. It even has a removable 10″ x 20″ poster that shares ways on how we can conserve energy! Something no child is ever too young to learn about.

EXPANTECH KIDS SOCKS FROM NO NONSENSE

Anyone else have a picky sock-wearer? If they’re not soft enough, cushy enough on the bottom or have some kind of color on them my child won’t wear them. SERIOUSLY. But ladies and gentlemen, we have finally found some that Daisy will always wear! These Kids ExpanTech Socks from No nonsense feature vertical and horizontal stretch technology, allowing the sock to grow with your child and stretch over multiple traditional kids sizes, lasting longer and saving on replacement purchases. Can I get an amen to saving money on kids’ clothes?! AMEN! Not to mention they’re super soft, have a nice cushy bottom, and are made in the USA. Plus I just love how retro they look on Daisy’s little legs :). Perfect for our future rollerskating days!

HEAT & EAT MEALS FROM FREELI FOODS
I’m not gonna lie … when I first received these I was a little iffy. I’m not huge on eating from a pouch and don’t tend to typically shop those items for Daisy either, but I refrained from sharing my opinion with her and tried these Heat & Eat Meals from Freeli Foods out with an open mind. WOW!! Yum.
Freeli is the first company to develop a refrigerated, heat & eat meal in the convenience of a pouch (it is not a purée!), and is making it so much easier to grab lunch on the go. Their delicious high protein meals were developed by a nutritionist and are cooked in small batches to preserve their flavor and texture. They are SO GOOD! I was skeptical at first, but Daisy and I are huge fans now and will definitely be purchasing these again soon. We tried the Chicken Noodle first and about fought over who was going to get to finish it, LOL. I love that they can be eaten straight from the pouch, or squeezed into a bowl and served that way as well. Next up: Mac and Cheese for Daisy and Burrito Bowl for me!

I hope you were able to learn about a few new kid-friendly items that you’ll include in your child’s playtime with spring! I’m always happy if I introduce you to even just one new thing that you weren’t aware of before :). I look forward to coming back soon with more kid and family-friendly ideas for ya. Happy playing!
